syn ∙ aes ∙ the ∙ sia - when one sense is activated, another unrelated sense is activated at the same time

When I hear music I see colour. I wanted to improve my digital drawing skills so began making self portraits as practice. This quickly turned into creating portraits of myself and friends using the colours that I “hear” to create musical impressions of people. I’d done similar work at university - interpreting the colours I see as images. Now, this has become one of my favourite pass times. I sit and stare at the faces of people that I love and create beautiful symphonies that make me think of them.
